a trade, a sale, and a last minute gift idea.
A few months ago, Genea of Genea Beads contacted me to see if I wanted to do a little trade!
Yes Please.
Genea is a lampwork artist and her work is stunning. Her skill level and attention to detail are extremely evident in each carefully made bead….and you can tell how enthusiastic she is about color just by the amazing variety of colors she sent me. I told her that I liked blue green colors and holy crow! I didn’t know what to say when I saw the amazing variety of her well-known wing dings on my doorstep!
These are just a few of the pairs I whipped up in the last couple of weeks.
Together, our beads are like peas and carrots! I thought I would share a quick easy idea for a last minute gift for yourself or a cute hostess gift for the holidays. Pair a couple of wing dings and a couple of my watercolor wafers and voila! These take literally 10 minutes and look really awesome!
Supplies:
2 antiqued brass ear wires
10″ antiqued brass wire 20g.
1 pair Genea’s wing dings
1 pair Floridity watercolor wafers
2 5mm antiqued brass jumprings
Simply wire wrap your wingdings, attach the watercolor wafers with the jumprings, and attach to the earwires! Easy Peasy!
I’m also having my last sale of 2011 through December 24th. Purchase from either my jewelry shop or my bead shop and take 15% off! If your order totals more than $50, and you purchase by the 22nd, I’ll upgrade you to Priority Mail for FREE (US orders only) . Use code LASTCHANCE2011 at checkout.
p.s. all those earrings are now listed in the shop!
ooh, and many of the wingdings you see listed above are available in Genea’s shop!

I just love a good collaboration. This one is so good! I love the different textures and how your wicked fine use of color mimics Miss Genea’s! I tried to leave a comment on her blog too but for some reason I couldn’t. Such beauties you created! Enjoy the day!
