WELCOME to Lori Anderson’s BEAD SOUP BLOG PARTY!!!!!

I’m so happy you’re here!

In case you don’t who I am please snoop around, and my partner is:

KERRY BOGERT ! and she sent me this…and I made more comments here.

Kerry and I wanted to do something different for this BSBP and while we toiled over wanting to make videos, they never did happen…HOWEVER….we decided to mash up our interests on Pinterest and choose our favorite pins for our inspiration.

We each chose our MOST Favorite PIN for our INSPIRATION FOR each other’s soup!
Here is the my pin!

This is the pin that Kerry had in mind while she was making her amazing stuff!….

Without further adieu, I bring you my meager bead soup offerings!

This necklace was the most evident when I received her beads. I knew immediately that the large rounds she sent me needed to be in a focal piece with little extra and they needed a bit a silver to help them stand out. This piece already was swishing around in my noggin…..These focals are from Kerry with vintage pink/red lucite and tiny purple vintage glass and aqua spacers from morekyejewels. The silver nuggets are from Halcraft via Michaels and the clasp closure is a saffron link from MissFickleMedia and a sterling clasp from my last BSBP partner, sweet Bryna!

THESE might have to be my most FAVORITE earrings ever!!!! I used Kerry’s resin-filled paddles along with some of my experimental torch-fired headpins ala Barbara Lewis.… These are topped with some etched glass rounds from Marie again (this girl doesn’t know her glass skills…seriously….) and my own handmade sterling silver earwires…..

And here is my Waterloo….

This is the piece that I spent the MOST time on and I’m LEAST satisfied with…. I set out to try and master the parawire coils that Kerry sent me….and first I tried for earrings…NOPE….then on a bracelet….tried to make them  on a bangle with that badass CLASP?????

NO MONEY!!!! I couldn’t get to work for the life of me!!!! So annoying!!!!

HEY!!! I forgot to tell you my BIG HUGE NEWS! Kerry and I are exhibiting together at BEADFEST!

I made it into this beautiful necklace, which I’m not completely sold on but it’s working for now! I’m totally digging the more sculptural aspect this design has…it is not like anything else I’ve ever done…..

And here’s all my SOUP all together! I hope you like!

Now…get yourself a refreshing beverage and keep hopping, lovelies!!!!!

Hostess, Lori Anderson

  2. Awesome stuff!!! :) The fact that the coil caused you so much trouble is not evident at all!! I thinks it’s a truly fantastic piece!!! Adore the earrings!!! The colors are just too fun and I’m sure they dance and sing while you wear them!! What a really cool idea to use the pins from Pintrest. I can totally see your pin in your first piece and those earrings are really neat as well. Like you, I dig the sculptural-ness of your last necklace, but there’s still something about it. . .Anyway. Wonderful work overall and what a cool palette to have gotten to work with!
